March 2010 dScribe session
Upcoming event that may interest you: African Health OER Network Design Jam, March 25, Ehrlicher Room, 6 - 8 pm
Let's begin with some copyright education. Your choice:
- Copyright Jeopardy (PPT)
- Creative Commons: Why You Should Share: http://creativecommons.org/videos/a-shared-culture
- Fair(y) Use: http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/documentary-film-program/film/a-fair-y-use-tale (10 min)
- Copyright, What's Copyright? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QiO_H0-ok8
Most of today's session will be the dScribe task list. We'll work together to review materials for copyright concerns and edit materials with the necessary citations and disclaimer slides. A few questions for the group:
- Does everyone have their faculty license for their materials?
- Has the spreadsheet been useful: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dENJM2wxVjBHM0lWWGUwdUdORjNmRnc6MA
- Suggestions for future sessions and wrapping up the remaining materials for your courses
A page that will be very helpful to you is the dScribe Essential Resources Page. Today we'll be using the * Content Object Metadata Tags / Title Slide Disclaimer for Course Materials (PPT).
