Course Audit of Stats 350
Course Content
- lots of powerpoints and other documents
- a few videos to demonstrate software
Copyright Concerns
- Where are the datasets from?
- There is some clip art in the pdf files.
- Spectronics manual in general resources?
- There are many clip art type images in the lecture .pdfs
Privacy Concerns
- Nothing.
Technical Concerns
- They use SPSS, which is proprietary. See if they can use PSPP (http://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/)
- They also use R, which is Free/Open Source Software: http://www.r-project.org/
Level of Editing Needed
- Not terribly much.
Level of Publishing Needed
- With all of the datasets and such, probably the same level as SI 508 (https://open.umich.edu/education/si/si508-fall2008)
dScribe Method Recommendation
- Student dScribe who is in the course, taking notes on the provenance of images while the prof is giving the lecture.
- Probably some staff time to make sure the videos, datasets, etc are handled correctly.
Training Requirements
- Train dScribe on very very basic copyright and mostly just on what is the important provenance information
Next Steps
- Nothing right now.
