Charlevoix, Michigan

Built: 1948

This solar-powered steel-frame tower replaced an earlier wooden structure that had been relocated from the north pier in 1914. Originally painted red, it was painted white during the early 1980's. In August of 2009 it was returned to its original 1948 bright red color.
