All users need to be able to import standard types of content (pdf, ms office, oo.org, adobe cs, ims cc, ims cp, zip, video, audio, images, html, xml) from typical points of entry (hd, usb, url, rss):

• Single material selection (new, edited)
• Multiple material selection (new, edited)
• Zipped (bulk) materials (or entire course) (new, edited)
• replacement object(s)
• indicate originals for replacement object(s)
• choose which files will be decomposed

OERca2 needs to:

• decompose files by extracting embedded content objects (images, audio, video) and extracting all text (indexing text and objects)
• create images of each page/slide within a document (any video processing?) and index them
• pull out indexed unique terms to function as keyword suggestions

• websites (Flickr, YouTube, others?)

All users need to package objects, metadata, documents into:

All users need to:

• select objects, documents for export (via select, drag and drop)
• choose whether or not to export original or recomposed documents
• select whether or not objects, context images, and replacements should be included in the document export

OERca2 needs to:

• automatically add documents reviewed by publisher
• recompose documents based on objects and metadata within OERca (when requested)

• select single or multiple objects for comment
• modify comments on multiple objects

• sort comments by user, object, document, course, school
• email in comments as a response to a notification email

OERca2 needs to:

• aggregate all comments related to the user
• email notifications to related user of new comments pertaining to an object

All users need to:

• inherit tasks based on activity in various modules

• modify tasks of one's self
• delete tasks of one's self
• delete tasks created by another user for one's self

• view aggregate of all objects' status as a summary

All users need to:

• search objects, documents, users on OERca metadata
• search objects from Flickr, Google Image Search using advanced, license specific search fields within each site
• select objects from OERca or external sites as replacements
• download objects from Flickr, Google Image Search results into OERca (with specified original object for replacement)
• sort OERca search results by course, title/name, keyword match, date, license

[edit] report

Admin users (others?) need to:

• select data from users, documents, objects, courses, labels for report generation
• select type of report output
• save report to desktop in multiple formats (generate PDF, html, xml, MS office, OO.org, and raw data in csv, others?)

[edit] crowdsource

All users need to:

• select object(s) for crowdsourcing (OERca, Flickr)
• deselect object(s) for crowdsourcing
• add comments to crowdsourced object(s)
